Starting at the big wooden section- end post, follow the path on the sea side of the Esplanade, passing steps and then a ramp road on the left. Both of these lead to the beach giving a beach -walking alternative. The shop is on the other side of the Esplanade and there are toilets at the bottom of the ramp.

Just past where the Esplanade meets Sellicks Beach Rd there is a small picnic area. Turn right over the crossing and pick up the end of the Coast Park path. Follow this paved shared use path until it runs out at some large rocks and turns into a natural surface path. Turn left here to go down the steps to the beach.

In the future we hope to be able to work out a suitable route through the Washpool, an area of cultural significance for the Kaurna people and also of environmental importance as a remaining natural wetland. For now we detour along the beach for 1.5km with the Washpool on our right After passing the disused ramp at Button Rd and two beach access walkways, you exit via the third walkway. A wood post and sign indicates it. This is 300 metres south of the Silver Sands ramp where there are some facilities.

Walk along the Silver Sands Esplanade to turn right into Norman Rd (there is bus access here).

and then left into Acacia Terrace. Where Acacia Terrace meets Wattle Terrace enter Aldinga Scrub CP by a slip through entrance.

WBT is signed through the Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park following, first, Wattle Track then turning left onto Kangaroo Track and then right onto the more major Boomerang Fire Track. Eventually exit the park at Gate 3 opposite the Aldinga Beach Holiday Park which has camping and accommodation.

There is a path on the roadside near the fence which leads, after 300m, to Gate 2 of the Aldinga Scrub CP. Re- enter the Park at Gate 2 and follow the boundary Track to eventually exit the park at Gate 17. Turn left and walk along Hart Rd for 100m and turn right into Hart Rd Wetlands which is a managed wetland but that doesn’t put the birds off. Follow the WBT signs through here until you reach where Rowley Rd meets the wetland at its western side and there is a small car parking area. There is a steel section-end post here.
